MortgageRate.live is built and maintained by TAPS Partners, a company whose core mission is advancing financial literacy for everyday Americans. We believe that clear, unbiased financial information should be freely available to anyone — not locked behind lead-generation forms, broker relationships, or paywalls.
Mortgage rates are among the most consequential financial data points in most Americans' lives. A difference of just 0.50% on a $400,000 loan translates to over $40,000 in extra interest over 30 years. Yet many rate comparison tools are designed to collect your personal information and sell it to lenders, not to genuinely help you.
We built MortgageRate.live to be different.
We use Claude AI by Anthropic with live web search to fetch current mortgage rates from major US banks and credit unions every day. Rates are fetched once daily at 10:00 AM ET and cached in our database for the rest of the day. You can also force a fresh fetch at any time by clicking the ↻ Refresh button.
We display rates from 14 of the most prominent US mortgage lenders, including Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Rocket Mortgage, Navy Federal Credit Union, PenFed Credit Union, Citi, Truist, Better Mortgage, loanDepot, USAA, U.S. Bank, PNC Bank, and TD Bank. Rates shown are the publicly advertised rates for a conventional 30-year or 15-year fixed-rate mortgage. Your actual rate will depend on your credit score, down payment, loan amount, and other factors.
We show exactly where data comes from and how it's fetched. No hidden agendas.
We do not receive commissions from lenders and are not affiliated with any financial institution.
